Description:  
Our client, a provider of public transportation services, and a BC Top 40 Employer, is looking to add a Manager, Corporate Wellness to their Surrey team.

Reporting to the Director, HR you will be responsible for Managing the corporate wellness program and initiatives, as well as overseeing the Human Rights cases.

Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering corporate policies on Duty to Accommodate and Substance Use Disorders
-managing the development, implementation and maintenance of corporate wellness related policies, processes and procedures
- Managing Occupational Health Nurses, overseeing return to work and rehabilitation initiatives, and ensuring compliance with company’s corporate legal obligations.
-Managing Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP); Return to Work, Disability, Critical Incident Peer Defuser programs and Immunization/Audiology Clinics. -Ensuring service providers perform in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Advising management on changes and improvements to policies and procedures and providing interpretations to management and unions on policy, practice and cross-jurisdictional issues.
- Overseeing Human Rights Tribunal cases, including mediating complaints, liaising with legal counsel, preparing submissions and attending Human Rights hearings.
- Participating as a member of various joint steering committees including the Cross-Jurisdictional Accommodation Committee, Rehabilitation/Return to Work, Substance Use Disorder.
-Managing project teams, procedural reviews and program development initiatives.
- Preparation of departmental goals and plans, and accountability for the departmental budget

Requirements:

You are the ideal candidate if you:
-have 3-7 years of related experience in Human Rights, HR, labour/employment law
-you have a good understanding of corporate wellness programs/initiatives
- -have strong organizational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
-excellent communication and negotiation skills
-are a team player with the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of management, unions, service providers, and peers
