Our Client, a provider of specialized wheel ed vehicle employs close to 100 000 employees worldwide and is a leader in their industry.

The successful candidate will work with the Trade Compliance Management Department.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance of GDLS-C/EWV to applicable import/export trade regulations by:

- Maintaining currency with worldwide export control regulation (such as: the US International traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), the US Export Administration Regulations (EAR), the US Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Regulations (BATFE), the Canadian Export and Import Permits Act (EIPA) and Canadian Controlled Goods Regulations (CGR)

- Supervising the activities of the compliance team including;
o Overseeing the implementation of policies and regulations; assisting in resolving issues; gaining support from Manager of TCM on complex issues
o Providing guidance and clarifications; suggesting alternative courses of action
- Chairing GDLS-C Trade compliance council
- Acting as primary point of contact for Trade Compliance council Representatives
o Ensuring training of TCC Reps
o Supporting TCC Reps on non-standard issues
- Overseeing formal and informal audits and conducting internal reviews
- Developing and overseeing implementation of trade compliance training to GDLS-C
- Responsible for leading and executing key projects related to Trade Compliance
- Report to GDLS-C manager of Trade Compliance on Compliance status and issues


• University degree in Business Administration or political science or related field
- Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with complex regulatory material including a solid understanding of export laws and regulations, particularly the ITAR and CGR
- Ability to help departmental representatives to understand import/export trade regulations as they relate to their departments
• Demonstrated understanding of information technology security and trade compliance issues
• Proficient skill level in MS Office applications
• Excellent organizational, analytical and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to travel (5% International) and possess/able to acquire and maintain a valid passport
