Description:  
Our client, a financial institution is seeking to add a Corporate Compliance Manager (Privacy Specialist) with 5 years of experience in the privacy, risk management, corporate governance, or regulatory compliance to their Ottawa office.

You will be responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation, maintenance of, and adherence to the organizationís Corporate Compliance Program, including: privacy, record management and corporate policy program.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Developing the annual Privacy Plan, to ensure the program is aligned with corporate strategy and objectives;
-Providing highly technical knowledge of privacy law and industry best practices, information systems and processes to support the business in meeting its business objectives, including developing an effective privacy program
-Managing the day to day operations of the privacy program including: overseeing policy and procedure development, training, communication, investigation of privacy breaches and incidents and crisis management matters.
-Managing the operations of information/record management program including: providing expert advice, overseeing policy and procedure development, training and communication.
-Overseeing the operations of the companyís Corporate compliance program including: monitoring regulatory changes, ensuring the effectiveness of the Legislative compliance and compliance risk management program
-Managing training programs

Requirements:

You are the ideal candidate if you:
-Have 5+ years of experience privacy, risk management, corporate governance, or regulatory compliance
-Have a law degree or university education with a privacy certification
-Have solid knowledge and experience in information privacy laws, access, release of information, and release control technologies
-Knowledge of IT security standards would be an asset
-Knowledge of information and record management standards would be an asset
-Have experience in the financial and/or health care industry, with specific ethics/compliance program experience
-Bilingualism would be an asset
-Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication, negotiation and presentation skills
-Are a strong team player and possess high ethical work standards
