Our Client, a Canadian leader in producing conferences and events across all significant industry sectors Including: Business, Technology, Natural Resources, Law and Public Policy is looking to add a Business Development Executive to their Toronto Sponsorship team.

Reporting to the Director of Sponsorship, the Business Development Executive will sell customized sponsorship solutions of to key accounts. The individual will also successfully identify and develop new sales opportunities while maintaining and fostering relationships with existing clients.

Your Responsibilities will include significant Managerial Functions Including:

Account Management:
=607; Managing a portfolio of high value customers using relationship sales and management skills.
=607; Preparing quotations, business proposals and sales contracts.
=607; Responsibility for all aspects of client sales management activities including profiling, promoting, selling, cross-selling, and prospecting.
=607; Collecting and recording relevant client information in contact management software
=607; Developing account plans for sales portfolios and developing customized sponsorship opportunities for individual clients.
=607; Attendance at conferences to ensure client needs are met.
=607; Understanding and providing efficient and effective customer service to both meet and surpass customer expectations
=607; Tracking sales activities and progress

Sales Management:
=607; Attaining sales revenue targets on a consistent basis
=607; Managing full sales cycles from inception to completion.
=607; Ensuring that there are sufficient prospects at all times, in order to achieve sales targets and objectives
=607; Ensuring that all client details and information in the system are up to date at all times.
=607; Participating in weekly team meetings as well as one-on-one debriefing sessions






Business Development:
=607; Identifying key partners for building relationships and offering sponsorship opportunities
=607; Prospecting and generating leads, ultimately turning them into sales
=607; Overseeing new business acquisition and growing existing business
=607; Identifying and developing new market opportunities
=607; Fostering and Advancing existing relationships with sponsors
=607; Building and maintaining effective working relationships with other departments & team members

Requirements:

Requirements:
=607; University Degree and/or Equivalent Work Experience
=607; 5+ Year of sales experience in a Business-to-Business environment
=607; Microsoft Office (PowerPoint required)
=607; Knowledge of CRM system an asset
=607; Demonstrated record in new business development, prospecting and cold calling
=607; Proven track record and ability to close sales
=607; Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills both face-to-face and over the phone
=607; Ability to articulate key product benefits to customers with sophisticated needs
=607; Superior writing skills essential for preparing high level proposals and presentation materials
=607; Experience in developing and maintaining executive level relationships
=607; Excellent customer service skills
=607; Proven ability to look into client base to identify potential for further business
=607; Advanced interviewing skills sufficient to build customer profiles
=607; Strong general understanding of customer business needs.
=607; Ability to build and maintain strong and ongoing relationships with customers through solid understanding of their products and process requirements.
=607; Proven ability to sell �intangibles� vs. products
=607; Minimal National Travel � 10% required
=607; Knowledge of and/or experience in the conference industry an asset
