Description:  
Our client, a top tier law firm, is looking to add a Manager of Business Development to its world class team. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will provide strategic and tactical business development support for the firm. You will be responsible for targeting and cultivating new business development opportunities for various practice groups.

This role involves:
-overseeing and providing strategic direction to lawyers regarding business development initiatives
-creating and executing business development and marketing communications plans
-developing business development plans for individual lawyers
-collaborating with national and global colleagues on shared business development activities
-assisting legal professionals with client account management activities.
-writing and editing creative and customized proposals, and maintaining and updating the proposal database
-conducting proposal debriefs, and utilizing feedback to help establish best practices
-managing submissions to directories and ranking organizations
-assisting in the development of alternative fee arrangements by collaborating with billing team members
-working closely with the marketing and digital teams

Requirements:

You are the ideal candidate if you:
-have a degree in law and 3 years + practice experience or degree in business, marketing, communications and related experience
-have experience in a law firm or professional services organization in a business development, marketing, or communications role
-are able to work collaboratively with colleagues, work independently, and identify opportunities to develop new processes to help grow and develop the group
-are skilled at building strong, collaborative relationships with lawyers, peers and business services
-have excellent oral and written communications skills
-have the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
-have excellent client services abilities
-have demonstrated project management and organizational abilities.
