Job Description:

Our client, a leading Corporate and Financial public relations and communications firm is seeking to add a smart, ambitious Communications Associate to their team. Working with some of Canada’s largest and most prestigious companies in addition to major US and International corporations, you will be able to draw on your critical thinking, analytical and exceptional writing and communication skills and leverage those into an exciting communications profession.

As an Associate, your responsibilities include:
• Corporate and financial communications
• Research, Writing, Analysis
• Media & issues monitoring and analysis
• Development of client materials
• Media and public relations
• Project management
• Contributing to a collaborative, productive and enjoyable work environment

Requirements:

Experience and Qualifications:

- Must have a Bachelors Degree
- Law Degree is strongly desired
- 2+ years of prior professional experience (in one of, law firm, public relations, corporate communications, investor relations, investment banking, public affairs and/or journalism

• Have superior written and verbal communications skills
• Thoughtful and confident, l with excellent interpersonal skills and an open style
• Top quality work-product, produced in a timely and professional manner
• Strong interest and/or previous experience in corporate, financial and current affairs
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Proficient with all major social media platforms
• A team player who is also able to work independently
• Ambitious, with a desire to work in a busy, fast paced and highly motivated working environment
• Familiarity with Wordpress, Keynote, information design and data visualization is an asset, but not mandatory
