DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a top tier business law firm, is looking to add a Corporate Lawyer to join their Knowledge Management team in their Toronto office.

Supporting the Corporate Law department, you will be an essential part of the firm and the specific group’s adaptation to the changing practice of law and responsible for developing and managing practice resources and tools necessary to enable lawyers in the business law group to work efficiently and provide excellent service.

Working closely with the Practice Chair and the members of the Business Law team, you will be an integral part to how the firm is responding and dealing with the changes in the legal industry.

Requirements:

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

•5+ years of corporate law experience gained at a leading Canadian or US law firm


•Strong business acumen and commercial awareness


•Demonstrable project management experience with advanced organizational, and time management skills


•The ability to navigate and multi-task detailed oriented assignments with tight deadlines


•Excellent drafting and research skills


•The desire and ability to be a self-starter and is able to perceive and analyze problems and make sound judgements


•Advanced negotiation and team work skills to interact and collaborate with various groups


•Excellent Communication, interpersonal and client service skills


•Proficiency with computers including MS Office (Word, Except, Power Point and Outlook)
