Description:  
Our client, a technology focused Real Estate company is expanding. They are looking to add a President to their team.

Reporting to the CEO, the President will be a key contributor in the strategic planning and day to day operations of a new IT start-up, within the larger organization.


The role will include:
• Ensuring that business operations and infrastructure are in place to support all departments
• Ensuring that strategies are clearly understood by all stakeholders and that the organization is positioned to meet its objectives at an optimum pace
• Being an agent for ongoing organizational change and advancement
• Initiating, developing and implementing processes to improve business operations of the organization.
• Developing and implementing proper management controls to ensure sound business and risk management practices are in place.
• Identifying and successfully resolving challenging service concerns that are raised through both internal and external stakeholders.
• Leading residential property closing processes from a legal perspective
• Overseeing virtual residential real estate transactions during the pilot phase, as required
• Supporting the development of financial plans, pricing models and business operations processes and policies.
• Developing complete go to market concepts and strategies
• Keeping abreast of industry trends and relevant guiding legislation

Requirements:

You are the ideal candidate if you:

• Are ready to marry your (residential) real estate law experience with your business savvy to lead a new IT start-up opportunity.
• Have an LL.B/ JD, and are a member in good standing of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
• Have a high degree of comfort working with Conveyancer, Econveyancer, E-signing, PC Law, LLC, Assyst and Lawyer Done Deal.
• Have 10+ years relevant experience with a focus on Real Estate.
• Have experience within a residential real estate practice
• Have had direct client facing interaction in Real Estate transactions.
• Have experience working with Commissioners of Oaths.
• Are a financially savvy leader with the ability to set clear priorities, and guide investment in people and systems.
• Possess keen analytic, organization and problem solving skills, which support and enable sound decision making.
• Have a track record of cultivating and maintaining long-term, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders.
• Keep current with the latest relevant trends
• Are comfortable actively seeking out new business opportunities, revenue generation and strategic partnerships.
• Have a hands-on approach to business analysis
• Have experience in strategic planning and execution.
• Are skilled at contracting, negotiation and change management.
• Are skilled at examining and re-engineering business operations and procedures.
• Are able to develop financial plans and manage resources.
• Are able to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Have the ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
• Thrive in a rapidly evolving and competitive environment
• Operational expertise coupled with a “lead by example” approach will be key to success in this role.
