Our client, an innovative Labour and Employment law firm with one of the first virtual offices, is seeking to add an Associate (3-6 years) to its busy Employment and Labour law practice. Providing efficient, affordable and innovative services to its client, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse clientele of individual workers, unions and on a variety of employment and labour law matters in the areas of labour, employment, administrative and Human Rights.

This is an exciting opportunity for a mid level labour/employment law lawyer – someone highly motivated looking for alternative and flexible work arrangements.

Responsibilities include:

The candidate will be responsible for files from opening to closing at all levels of the judiciary process, the successful candidate will also have the opportunity to develop law practice management skills.

The successful candidate will:

- Be a member in good standing of the British Columbia Bar
- Have a MINIMUM of 3 Year of Employment and Labour Law experience.
- Have litigation experience before the Federal courts involving Federal Government and its agencies, as well as before the BC Supreme and Provincial Courts
- Be adept at the use of computer and software technology with a strong interest in learning to use cutting-edge technology to deliver cost effective legal services to clients and in related legal proceedings
- Be highly self-motivated and have the discipline to work independently and the ability to work collaboratively with other members of the firm.
