Our client, a renowned mid-sized Business Law firm in Downtown Vancouver is growing its securities practice and is looking for an experienced Securities Lawyer to join our Securities Group.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled lawyer with a full or partial practice to take on a leadership role and seamlessly integrate into an established, dynamic and collegial environment with excellent growth potential.
Job Description:
The opportunity is for a partner level lawyer with broad securities and corporate law experience. As an integral part of the group’s public market practice you will be working on an array of matters including: securities, corporate finance and M&A. Clients range from private and public companies, to wealth managers, investors and private equity.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will:
- Have their JD or LLM and a member in good standing on the BC Bar
- Have 12+ years of experience in securities law and corporate/commercial matters
- Have a full or partial practice with an established client base and a desire to expand
- Have experience with:
- Public and private financings
- Continuous disclosure and securities regulatory compliance
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Stock exchange listings and related regulatory requirements
- Corporate finance and general corporate transactions
- Be a leader and have experience mentoring junior lawyers and contributing to the group’s strategic growth
- Have exceptional client service, interpersonal skills, and business judgment
- Have strong communication skills and a team-oriented mind-set
