Do you know the Canadian legal information landscape and understand personal injury law trends and possibilities more than anyone you know? Are you able to translate your years of hands-on experience and know-how into practical useful tools that assist other lawyers with their practice? We want to hear from you! Our client, a leading international company, is looking to add a Personal Injury Litigation Lawyer to their Toronto team.

Working as part of the Litigation Products Team, you will be responsible for drafting valuable “savoir-faire” content in Canadian Personal Injury Law for a new brand of products. These new products provide practical knowledge to the legal community by breaking down complex legal information into useful tools that help legal practitioners improve law firm or in-house efficiencies.

The role will include:

• drafting and editing practical information in Personal Injury Law, including checklists, practice guidance notes, and templates and precedents according to the organization’s writing style;
• developing ideas for publishing practical information in Personal Injury Law;
• monitoring legal market trends and developments in Personal Injury Law; and
• supporting the Senior Editor in conducting market research and supporting sales and marketing teams, as required; and
• supporting the Senior Editor in maintaining and fostering relationships with industry groups, law firms, legal practitioners and in-house counsel to ensure that the practical information in Personal Injury Law is current and cutting-edge and meets their needs.


You are the ideal candidate if you have:

• 3+ years’ experience practicing Plaintiff-side Personal Injury Litigation Law at a leading Canadian law firm
• Expertise in civil personal injury actions, including knowledge of the Ontario’s Statutory Accident Benefits (SABs) regime
• LL.B./ JD from a recognized law school
• PC skills and familiarity with electronic research techniques
• excellent drafting and writing skills and pay very close attention to detail
• good understanding of the needs and priorities of legal professionals and the legal
• ability to write about complex legal issues clearly and concisely, in lay terms
• entrepreneurial abilities
• enthusiasm, with a desire to improve the efficiency of legal services
• strong analytical, problem-solving skills and issue resolution skills
• exceptional time management, planning and organizational skills
• ability to manage multiple competing deadlines
